Charis is wonderful, because I came home to find a huge box waiting for me, crammed full of lovely things! Books (Sharon Shinn and Patricia McKillip and two lovely illustrated fairy tales)! and bookmarks (from all seven chronicles of Narnia)!

But the dearest, sweetest, best thing of all is the Kaylee all of my own (shown here with matching Kaylee quote pillow from another friend)

So cute, with a strawberry, and overalls, and a teddy bear patch and everything!

Really, there are not enough exclamation marks in the *world* to express my glee!

YAY! She made it! I'm glad XD (and that Kaylee quote pillow is just brilliant, btw--kudos to your friend! What a clever idea). And I have about a million (okay...10) pictures of the Kaylee doll that I can now post! I couldn't talk about making her because I wanted it to be an absolute surprise XD

That is officially the most adorable thing I have ever seen. :D (Also: St. George and the Dragon! That's my favourite picture book! I even stole it from my mother!) Verily, Charis is constructed of purest sparkly win. *nods*

This particular copy of St. George and the Dragon is also special because all of the pages are inexplicably upside down! Topsy-turvy books are incredibly diverting...apparently. I was fascinated, anyway. 'Look! It's upside down!' 'Yes, Charis, we saw...' 'Upside down!' 'Yes, Charis...'

Hey, that's like the liner notes for my particular copy of Sixpence None the Richer's self-titled album. (...Maybe that's why I was able to get my copy for two dollars.) :p

It is fascinating in some way . . . and apparently my family doesn't get it either.
