January is the cruelest month

This month has been crazy. For instance, yesterday I had an interview, today I had an "oral test" to get on a job list (basically an interview with set questions where the interviewers don't care), and I still have to see the doctor about my hand tomorrow, and I have another interview on Friday. I'm pushing past mentally exhausted to a place I haven't been in a while (and it isn't a fun place).
Today I realized that I can't keep this up much longer. I nearly forgot to bring my suit jacket after carefully setting it out. After parking quite early, I miscalculated how early I wanted to walk over, and instead of arriving my standard fifteen or twenty minutes early would have been ten minutes early except that I forgot I was still wearing my brace and had to hurry back to the car to drop it off. I managed to be five minutes early. Sadly, this was the one day that the interviewers for this particular jurisdiction were actually running on time (usually they are at least fifteen minutes late) so it didn't give me much time to prepare (but I have the questions nearly memorized, so it still went fine).
I hope next week is a break. I said that last week. And the week before. It is such an annoying conglomeration of circumstances that has meant I haven't had a proper break from all this job stuff in a while. I need a break.
On the positive side, the place I interviewed with yesterday is checking my references (a good sign) and it was the second interview (another good sign). Also, the interview I have on Friday is at a location where I've worked before (just with the other department that works in the same building). Crossed fingers, good thoughts, prayers or lit candles that one of these works out would be much appreciated.
