(reposted from last Christmas, because I enjoy it and hope you will too)

I have come to the conclusion, after much deliberation, that Santa must be a Time Lord. Let me start with the obvious, and then proceed logically to the conclusion.

First, Santa lives at the North Pole. This is well established. However, there is no documentation of Santa at the North Pole, and it is obvious from the satellite photos that the North Pole appears empty, which would be quite a hard thing to do considering the size that such an establishment must be in order to produce as many toys as are required every Christmas. It is obvious, then, that Santa's establishment must be contained within some sort of pocket universe, and the entry to this universe (size unknown) is at the North Pole.

Second, Santa must deliver a huge amount of toys in a small amount of time. Consider the vast number of children just within the United States who receive presents from Santa every year. Then, consider the fact that no child has ever seen Santa (despite claims in various movies to the contrary). So, Santa must have a way of traveling very quickly. Actually, not necessarily. If, instead, Santa is a Time Lord, then he may move about in time to deliver the presents, through the use of a TARDIS. He could, theoretically, be at every house at about the same time at once. Obviously, this would have possible negative effects on the time continuum, but I posit that any possible negative effects would be canceled by the simultaneous belief of all the children (see series three season finale for supporting information).

Third, Santa must fit all the toys for all the children somehow into some sort of vehicle or bag. All the toys could not fit into a normal bag. There are two possibilities. First, his bag may be bigger on the inside than the outside (similar in concept to the TARDIS, and really the same as Ten's pockets which are bigger on the inside). Or, secondly, all the toys may fit easily within Santa's TARDIS.

Fifth, there is the issue of the eccentricity of Santa's jolly red suit. Time Lords are noticeably eccentric in their choice of attire, and a bright red, fur trimmed suit is obviously eccentric.

But wait, you say, what about flying reindeer pulling a sleigh? It may be more colorful, but what I propose is more likely. I propose a Time Lord in a TARDIS. After all, isn't it the sort of thing a Time Lord like the Doctor would do, flying around to distribute gifts and happiness?
