NaNo

I'm afraid that my updates will be rather sparse, except as regards NaNo. I have decided that my New Years Not Resolution, which consisted of writing at least one post of substance a week (and I generally succeed) may be put on hold for the month of November while I try my hand at NaNo. Also, I often write my posts during my lunch hour, because I actually have an hour, and so I use half an hour to write a post or whatnot and half an hour to eat my lunch and read whatever book I have brought to work for that purpose (at the moment it is Ivanhoe). But, these stolen times will now be used to work on the novel.

Speaking of the novel, I had another good day today. My characters are starting to come together and develop properly. 2,408 words today! That puts my grand total to 5,573. I find it strangely motivating to update the number on NaNo and watch the column move up. I have a decent chance of finishing this, if I can keep up the (what is for me) scorching pace. Sadly, I don't think I'll have time to work on it on Saturday, but I'll try to make up for it on Sunday.
