a short update

So, I think it's time for my every so often update on the life of Kate.

- We moved! This is Large and Eventful because it involved putting everything into boxes and then moving all the boxes across town, where they are now sitting waiting to be unpacked, and I am having a hard time finding things like cereal bowls. This deserves a giant post (the moving, not the cereal bowls) which I may or may not write at some point in time. Incidentally, if you have a sudden desire to write me, my address has changed.

- I have a shiny new computer, and verily, it is awesome. Lot's of RAM, lot's of memory, and a beautiful flat screen monitor.

- My brother is (still) in China, and has told us exciting tales of the Olympics (he got to see two events, one was archery and one was soccer).

- I've watched the first season of Buffy again, and it is even shinier the second time round. Interestingly, the season finale is rather like one big image of the harrowing of hell. I think.

- I'm in the middle of The Karamazov Brothers, and so far it is my least favorite Russian novel. I prefer Anna K or Crime and Punishment.

- I watched Penelope, which is a fabulous, quirky little fairy tale.

- I am beginning the process of job hunting, and applying for jobs and all that, with the hope that I will be moving back to LA soon. The resume is shiny, the boxes are all moved, and we'll see how it all goes.

I think that is everything of Interest or Import that has happened of late.
